PACE Data-Transfer Evaluation
PalliCalc Assessment of Clinical Efficiency: completed process findings and the prospective time-and-motion simulation protocol.
PACE
PACE stands for PalliCalc Assessment of Clinical Efficiency. The project evaluates the operational efficiency of the PalliCalc Dual-QR electronic data-capture workflow for multilingual IPOS monitoring.
Completed Process-Evaluation Findings
1,320 / 1,320Correct tested transfers with PalliCalc
100%Tested transfer accuracy
96.74%Manual transfer accuracy in the comparison workflow
80.3%Reduction in evaluated end-to-end workflow time
| Measure | Manual | PalliCalc |
|---|---|---|
| Overall transfer | 1,277/1,320 (96.74%) | 1,320/1,320 (100%), p<0.001 |
| IPOS finding interpretation | 95/120 (79.2%) | 120/120 (100%) |
| Complete workflow time | 303.0 seconds | 59.7 seconds |
Prospective PACE Trial
Title: Evaluating the Operational Efficiency of a Stateless Dual-QR Electronic Data Capture System for Multilingual IPOS Monitoring: A Prospective Time-and-Motion Simulation.
- Prospective parallel-arm time-and-motion simulation
- Conducted using fabricated patient datasets rather than real patient PHI
- 30 standardized datasets: 10 English, 10 Bahasa Malaysia and 10 Chinese
- Comparison of expert manual users with novice PalliCalc users after brief familiarization
- Measures Time-to-Database, translation delay, Time-to-Insight and data integrity
Dual-QR Workflow
- Patient or caregiver completes the supported IPOS assessment.
- A structured Answer QR is generated.
- The clinician scans the Answer QR.
- The clinician reviews the responses, calculated score and flagged items.
- The verified record is transmitted into the institution-controlled data environment.
